I set up a tent 47 years ago at Fallen Leaf Lake and never left! Our family spent time camping at Camp Richardson and I vowed I would live in Tahoe when I grew up! Still working on growing up!

Our logo contains my signature, which affirms my commitment to our customers; and our experience & expertise in real estate sales has been built on the truly ‘Personal Care’ we provide. You will be working with me or my husband, Douglas Phillips and our very knowledgeable and locally grown assistant/office manager, Shelli Homan.

Our business has been built on satisfied repeat and referral clients. Davey Paiva Realty was established in May of 2000. Prior to that I had been a Broker-Associate for Century 21 for 3 years, and Co-Owner in Better Homes Realty, and a partnership/ managing Broker with Lucksinger/ Yokotake/Paiva Hedley & Associates in Tahoe Keys for 13 years. Before then, I was Property Manager for Accommodation Station Realty & Rentals, which Vail Resorts now owns, for 13 years. Prior to that I managed a 25 unit motel for two years (swore I’d write a book after that!).  Before then I had worked as a bookkeeper and office clerk/typist.

We take our slogan “Make Our Experience Work For You” very seriously and are dedicated to providing the BEST SERVICE; as our property management company’s name, BEST RENTALS indicates.

I enjoy the satisfaction of finding the “right” home for a buyer and take time to truly find the realistic price for a Seller (despite the price Zillow might suggest). We provide published & online advertising for all our Rental & Sales properties on a consistent daily, weekly & monthly basis.

We have a 24 hour answering service for our property management company so that emergency situations can be responded to quickly and since our lines are very often busy, you can leave a message with a live person and expect a return call promptly.

I was President of the South Tahoe Association of Realtors (previously known as the South Lake Tahoe Board of Realtors) and a California Association of Realtors (CAR) Delegate in 1991 and 1997. I am a current member of the professional Standards Committee, which I’ve served on and Been Chair of for more years than I can count.

My love of hiking and my sense of adventure led me to serving on the El Dorado County Search and Rescue (SAR) team for 28 years. I was a foot searcher, Cross Country Ski searcher and part of the management team and Board member. I miss the excitement and the satisfaction of finding the lost and bringing in the injured but after 28 years I now want to spend more time with family and not be going out in the middle of the night on searches.

I also have been a member of Soroptimist International South Lake Tahoe for 30 years, serving as a Delegate & Committee Chair and Committee member. We work hard to raise money for Women & Youth in our Community and contribute to these causes as a Club and to our World-wide Sister Clubs. In our Community we provide scholarships for Women returning to the workforce and for high school graduates for their College education. I also served on the Sierra Recovery Center Board for 12 years, working to provide services for those in our Community with Addiction problems.
